புத்தகத்து ஏட்டில் தீட்டி முடியாது (puththakaththu Ettil theetti mudiyAthu) : That something which cannot be written down in books or palm leaves; புத்தகங்களிலும் ஏட்டிலும் எழுத முடியாத பொருளை,

பொற்புறக் கூட்டிக் காட்டி (poRpuRak kUttik kAtti) : I want You to reveal Its elegant beauty to me; அழகு பொருந்தக் கூட்டுவித்துக் காட்டியும், பொற்பு (poRpu) : beauty, elegance, பொற்பு, அழகு, பொலிவு;

அருள் ஞான வித்தகப் பேற்றைத் தேற்றி (aruL njAna viththakap pEtRaith thEtRi) : and make me realise the fortune of gracious Knowledge; அருள்மயமான ஞான நன்மைப் பாக்கியத்தை எனக்குத் தெளிய வைத்தும்,

அருளாலே மெத்தெனக் கூட்டிக் காக்க நினைவாயே (aruLAlE meththenak kUttik kAkka ninaivAyE) : and kindly consider protecting me by bestowing gracefully that knowledge on me! உன் திருவருளால் பக்குவமாக எனக்கு அதைக் கூட்டி வைத்தும் என்னைப் பாதுகாக்க நீ நினைத்தருள வேண்டுகிறேன்.,

தத்தை புக்கு ஓட்டிக் காட்டில் உறைவாளை ( thaththai pukku Ottik kAttil uRaivALai) : She is the forest-dweller who sought and chased away the parrots from the millet-field; கிளிகளை அவை தினைப்புனத்தில் இருக்கும் இடம் தேடிச் சென்று விரட்டி அந்தக் காட்டில் வசித்தவளாம் வள்ளியை,
